glorious romp, brimful of hand clapping effervescent energy and
dazzling dance routines.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
is set in Oregon in 1850 and tells the story of Adam Pontipee, the
eldest of seven brothers, who goes to town to get a wife. He meets
Milly and convinces her to marry him that same day. They return to
his backwoods home, only for Milly to discover that Adam has six
brothers – all living in the same cabin! Milly sets out to reform
the uncouth siblings, who are anxious to get wives of their own.
Then, after reading about the Roman capture of the Sabine Women,
Adam develops an inspired solution to the brothers loneliness –
kidnap the women they want!
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
is a wonderful musical, and this terrific family entertainment
sparkles with memorable songs that is guaranteed to leave you
tapping your toes, with a smile on your face and a song in your
heart.

Bath Light
Operatic Group last performed Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
25 years ago, and are delighted to welcome back Jill Kelly who
choreographed that original production. Matthew Finch will once
again conduct the live orchestra and this year Bath Light Operatic
Group is pleased to welcome local Director Steve Woolley.
Following on
from his successful portrayal of Sweeney Todd, Tristan Carter plays
the role of Adam Pontipee whilst the role of Milly is shared between
Helen Feierabend and Rebecca Hinds.
Bath Light Operatic Group returns to
the Theatre Royal with a company of 40 performers and draws its
members from across the local region – Bath, Bristol, Bradford–on-
Avon, Trowbridge, Radstock, Midsomer Norton and the surrounding
area.
